The Senior Python Developer role develops financial software using artificial intelligence and data analytics to address operational challenges. Based close to Silom station, the position offers an international working environment where English is used for internal communication and provides the opportunity to deliver scalable backend solutions from design through to launch.
Responsibilities
- Develop financial software using artificial intelligence and data analytics to address operational challenges
- Design and build robust application programming interfaces, manage backend technology stacks, and strategically integrate large language model capabilities into product features through RESTful APIs using Django
- Implement large language model APIs to create features powered by advanced prompting, function calling, and retrieval-augmented generation architectures
- Write clean, maintainable code and apply artificial intelligence technologies to support faster, high-quality delivery
- Design resilient backend architectures and robust data models to support system growth
- Design normalised, high-performance database schemas and models that provide flexibility for future development
- Collaborate with frontend, user experience and user interface, and product teams to deliver features from development through to launch
- Conduct code reviews, contribute to technical architecture design, and participate in agile sprint planning
- Provide advice and guidance to junior team members as required
- Manage DevOps operations, infrastructure, and deployment pipelines across projects
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, information technology, or a related field
- 5+ years of software development experience using Python, Django, and Django REST framework or similar REST tooling
- Experience using modern artificial intelligence coding tools, such as Cursor, Claude Code, or Copilot
- Experience with Git and continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines
- Experience deploying and managing production applications through major cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, or Heroku
- Strong spoken English skills, as English is used for internal communication
