Lead the development and implementation of quality standards, processes, and procedures to ensure product compliance with customer requirements.
Review and approve technical drawings, ensuring proper application of GD&T for manufacturability and inspection.
Perform detailed inspections and audits to ensure compliance with established quality standards.
Problem Solving and Root Cause Analysis:
Facilitate and lead 8D problem-solving activities, driving cross-functional teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
Utilize 5Why's analysis to investigate quality issues and develop robust corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Production Part Approval Process (PPAP):
Lead PPAP submissions to customers, ensuring all necessary documentation, sample parts, and inspection results are completed accurately and on time.
Collaborate with suppliers to ensure their PPAP submissions meet quality expectations and resolve any non-conformances.
Continuous Improvement:
Implement process improvements to enhance product quality, reduce defects, and increase efficiency.
Analyze data from production, quality reports, and customer feedback to recommend process adjustments.
Provide leadership and guidance to the engineering team to support continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaboration:
Work closely with manufacturing, design, and supplier teams to resolve quality-related issues and ensure that corrective actions are implemented effectively.
Serve as the main point of contact for quality concerns, interfacing with both internal and external stakeholders.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation for all quality activities, including control plans, FMEAs, and inspection reports.
Generate and present quality performance reports, ensuring the management team is informed of key quality metrics.
