BACKGROUND:

Love Frankie is a social impact agency that specializes in using research and communications to support public and private sector organizations in designing and implementing social impact projects.

We design social impact programs and campaigns across a broad range of issues including intolerance and hate speech, digital literacy, migration, human trafficking, gender & LGBT rights, environmental protection, access to justice and governance. Our Bangkok-based team manages a range of projects across the Asia-Pacific region.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the supervision and support of the Research Director, the Senior Research Analyst is responsible for leading various types of research projects (both quantitative and qualitative) for national and international clients. This includes taking a leading role in all stages of the research project cycle including research design, project management, client communication, and analysis and reporting.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  1. Plan, coordinate and execute assigned research projects from design to final report ensuring that research deliverables meet quality standards and business requirements.
  2. Lead qualitative research approaches across projects, supporting team members where needed.
  3. Supervise consultants and vendors to complete research projects within deadlines.
  4. Coordinate and oversee data collection efforts in Thailand and Southeast Asia.
  5. Present research findings to clients and other stakeholders in a digestible manner.
  6. Coordinate with leadership in determining research priorities and developing research roadmap.
  7. Stay current with latest developments in research tools/ techniques as well as trends in the international development sphere.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum 5 years experience leading research projects in market research, social research, monitoring and evaluation (M&E), impact measurement and management, or a related field.
  • A Bachelor's degree in social sciences or humanities or related field.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Thai.
  • Expertise in quantitative and qualitative research approaches. Preference for strong qualitative skills.
  • Strong analytical and writing skills.
  • Strong project management and coordination skills.
  • Good contextual contemporary knowledge of national issues and priorities and social and cultural constraints and realities in Thailand and Southeast Asia.
  • Ability to organize and work independently and within teams.
  • A passion and interest in social change and social/ political issues.
  • Ability to use Google Workspace and analytical tools (e.g. SPSS, R, Atlas.ti, etc.).
