Job Purpose
Perform a senior specialist within the Line 1.5 business unit (BU) of Risk & Controls function, serving as the dedicated resource for Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) data analytics. Responsible for identifying anomalies, emerging risks and patterns through data analytics, validating system configurations against regulatory requirements, and conducting quality reviews of high-impact claims decisions.
Deliver insightful analytics and management information (MI) reporting to BU and stakeholders at Group Office to support data-driven decision-making across risk, compliance, and operations.
Key responsibilities:
AFC Data Analytics
- Perform Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) data analytics (including AML and FATCA/CRS) to identify anomalies, potential risks, and system gaps across business processes
- Validate system configurations and data controls to ensure full alignment with AFC regulatory requirements and internal compliance standards
- Analyze complex datasets to detect trends, patterns, and emerging risks, and translate findings into actionable insights for risk mitigation
- Conduct quality assurance (QA) reviews on AFC-related processes and high-risk cases to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with policy and regulatory requirements
- Document findings and escalate material issues with clear, actionable recommendations to strengthen controls and improve compliance effectiveness
FATCA Case Management & Questionnaire Review
- Review and consolidate FATCA Questionnaire responses from Underwriting (UI), Policy Owner Services (PO), and Claims departments for COO approval prior to submission to Compliance
- Review and summarize FATCA cases recorded in the manual log, ensuring completeness and accuracy of case documentation
- Maintain organized records of all FATCA-related activities to support audit readiness and regulatory reporting
Management Information (MI) Reporting
- Prepare analytical reports for Management and Compliance (BU Report) covering alerts backlog, system stability, and data reconciliation exceptions
- Generate MI (Management Information) report and distribute to Group Office management team (GO Report) on a regular cadence
- Deliver BU and GO analytical & MI reporting to senior management (BU CEO, CTO, Head of Data, COO, CCO)
- Design and develop reports and dashboards to visualize risk and compliance metrics in a clear, digestible format for executive audiences
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Drive cross-functional collaborations with Technology, Data, Operations, and Compliance to strengthen data analytics capabilities and support business decision-making
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve data quality, reporting efficiency, and analytical processes
- Create and maintain documentation including requirements, data definitions, business rules, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science or related fields.
- At least 5 years in data analytics, business intelligence, or MIS role, preferably in insurance or financial services.
- Experience with AML/CTF/FATCA/CRS regulatory frameworks is highly preferred
- Preferred Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) or relevant AML/Compliance certification
- Skilled in Advanced Excel, SQL, Power BI and RPA (UiPath and/or Power Platform)
- Excellence communication in Thai and English (Need to communicate with Group office in HK)
