Key Responsibilities and Requirements:
- Identify target OEMs: Identify 3-5 new OEM prospects quarterly; launch contact campaigns through plant tour or tech days
- Build customer relationships: Make executive contacts within 90 days at key OEM customers
- Convert customer relationships: Diagnose client needs (e.g. cost reduction targets) and develop tailored service/solutions using our products
- Win new programs: Lead RFQ response by analyzing requirements, co-developing technical/financial proposals and negotiating contracts to achieve high win rate
- Build pipeline and track opportunities: Monitor OEM purchasing plans via databases and customer communications to target bid opportunities
Qualification
- Fluent Japanese: proficientfor daily work; 10+ years direct experience with Japanese OEMs or suppliers
- Deep knowledge of SEA markets : Understand local competition and customer needs with 5+ years experience in the region
- Proactive mindset : Drive to challenge norms and capture market share with new approaches
- Strong English skills : Communicate clearly across functions and regions as a team player
- Experience with Chinese OEM is a strong plus
