Configure, set up, and support on-site installation, testing, commissioning, and buy-off of PLC and automation systems.
Develop, maintain, and optimize PLC programs (e.g. Omron, Keyence) using IEC 61131-3 programming languages, including Ladder Diagram (LD), Function Block Diagram (FBD), Structured Text (ST), and Statement List (IL).
Perform system troubleshooting, debugging, optimization, and performance tuning to ensure project requirements are met, including application of semiconductor manufacturing process knowledge.
Design reliable communication between PLCs and external devices using industrial communication protocols such as RS232, TCP/IP, Modbus, EtherCAT, and SECS/GEM.
Develop software integration solutions using web services (REST APIs, SOAP, XML) to enable communication between PLCs, MES, ERP, and other Industry 4.0 manufacturing systems.
Apply advanced PLC programming concepts, including reusable function blocks, structured program architecture, task management, and scan-time optimization to improve system reliability and maintainability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and support successful project execution from development through customer acceptance.
