Senior Software Engineer

We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to lead the seam where our hardware meets software. This is a lead role across firmware interfaces, native SDKs, and the cross-platform application layer. You will set the architectural direction for new hardware integrations, partner with our hardware and firmware teams, and mentor the engineers building against the platform.

What you will own

• Lead hardware integration into the cross-platform software stack.
• Own the native plugin layer across Android (Kotlin) and iOS (Swift), including BLE, WiFi P2P, and custom binary protocols.
• Design real-time pipelines for audio, video, and sensor data over WebSocket and WebRTC.
• Integrate on-device ML models and vendor SDKs without compromising performance.
• Architect cross-platform features in Flutter that scale across multiple device generations.
• Profile and optimise performance, battery, thermals, and connection stability.
• Set technical direction for hardware and software interfaces, partnering with firmware, mechanical, and product teams.
• Mentor engineers, raise the bar through code review, and own production stability.

What you bring

• 5+ years building production software, including code that talks to physical devices.
• Strong Android (Kotlin) or iOS (Swift) production experience, ideally both.
• Hands-on Flutter or React Native, including native plugin bridges.
• Real-world experience with BLE, WiFi, USB, audio codecs, or sensor pipelines.
• Strong fundamentals in async, threading, and FFI boundaries.
• An active GitHub with shipped production work, not coursework.

Nice to have

• Embedded firmware, RTOS, or hardware bring-up experience.
• WebRTC or other real-time protocol experience at production scale.
• On-device ML integration (TensorFlow Lite, ONNX, Core ML).
• Wearables, smart device, or robotics background.
• Open-source contributions to mobile or systems projects.
