Job Description

Job Title: Senior Sourcing Specialist / Analyst

Full-time, Work On-site 5 days in the office

Location: Bangkok, SM Tower (BTS Sanam Pao)

Role Overview

We are seeking an analytical Senior Sourcing Specialist / Analyst to optimize our end-to-end packaging procurement. You will balance market data analysis with hands-on project coordination—tracking raw material indices (pulp, plastic resins), auditing cost breakdowns, and driving proactive RFIs/RFPs. You will also act as the central link between external suppliers and our internal R&D, QA, Production, and Marketing teams to seamlessly trial and launch packaging innovations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Data Analytics & Cost Support

  • Data Collection & Price Analysis: Maintain and update the benchmark price database. Track raw material price indices (e.g., pulp, Old Corrugated Containers (OCC), and plastic resins) to prepare insights for negotiation strategies.
  • Cost Breakdown Analysis: Audit supplier quotations against standard cost structures to identify further negotiation opportunities and cost-saving areas.

2. Sourcing & Project Coordination

  • Supplier Sourcing & Evaluation (RFI/RFP): Execute Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Proposals/Quotations (RFP/RFQ) to identify and compare new suppliers based on business requirements.
  • Packaging Development Coordination: Act as the primary liaison between suppliers and internal stakeholders (R&D, QA, Production, Marketing) to secure packaging samples (e.g., sample boxes, Flexo printing artwork, film samples) for production line trials.
  • Trial Process Management: Monitor and track the status of new packaging trials within the food manufacturing facilities to ensure they meet standard criteria and are completed on schedule.

3. Supplier Operations & Performance Management

  • Delivery Tracking & Issue Resolution: Collaborate with the Quality Assurance (QA) team to handle Non-Conformance issues, managing claims and ensuring suppliers implement effective corrective actions.
  • Supplier Evaluation: Gather raw performance data and generate annual Supplier Scorecards, evaluating partners on Quality, Service, and On-Time In-Full (OTIF) delivery.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Food Science, Packaging Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Procurement, Sourcing, or Buying.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • Experience in sourcing paper/plastic packaging, offset printing (cardboard/ inner Box) or a background within the Food / FMCG industry will be highly preferred
  • Fundamental understanding of packaging types and strategic/proactive sourcing processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and coordination skills. Possess a hands-on, proactive attitude with a strong willingness to learn.
  • Good command of English, with the ability to handle professional email correspondence and basic cross-functional coordination.

Why Join Us

This is a fantastic opportunity for a procurement professional looking to drive high-impact sourcing strategies and lead end-to-end packaging development in a dynamic global environment. If you are analytical, proactive, and thrive on cross-functional collaboration, we would love to hear from you.
