About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Starch Process Engineer to lead the development and scale-up of oil-treated starch products for food applications. This role is pivotal in driving innovation, optimizing manufacturing processes, and ensuring product performance meets customer expectations across Asia Pacific and global markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead formulation development and optimization of oil-treated starch products for food applications.
- Collaborate with Technical, Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to ensure high-yield, consistent, and scalable manufacturing processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges during scale-up and commercial production.
- Apply advanced analytical methods and Design of Experiments (DOE) to improve product performance and process efficiency.
- Document and communicate technical findings, best practices, and process improvements to stakeholders.
- Support regional and global projects, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
Mandatory Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in the food starch industry, preferably in product development or process engineering.
- Strong knowledge of starch chemistry, modification techniques, and analytical methods.
- Proven track record in manufacturing oil-treated starch for food applications.
- Hands-on experience with scale-up and commercial production processes.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and lead technical projects.
- Fluency in an Asian language (e.g., Mandarin, Thai, Japanese) to support regional communication.
Preferred Skills:
- Project management and leadership experience in cross-functional environments.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Familiarity with global food safety and quality standards.
