Your Role
The Senior Supply Chain Manager is responsible for managing the daytoday supply chain and site operations within the country, ensuring reliable product availability, efficient warehousing and distribution, compliant site management, and strong service levels to customers. This role oversees endtoend operational execution, including capital expenditure management, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance while driving continuous improvement and leading the local teams in alignment with regional guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Supply Chain Operations Management
- Manage country-level supply chain activities including purchasing coordination, inventory control, warehousing, and distribution
- Ensure smooth inbound and outbound logistics execution to meet customer delivery requirements
- Monitor supply chain performance and address operational issues promptly
- Inventory & Planning
- Maintain appropriate stock levels to balance service level and working capital targets
- Coordinate demand planning inputs with Sales and Customer Service
- Support replenishment planning and supplier coordination to avoid shortages or excess inventory
- Warehousing & Distribution
- Oversee daily warehouse operations including storage, picking, dispatch, and safety compliance
- Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) where applicable
- Ensure distribution activities meet cost, quality, and delivery standards
- Customer Service & Delivery Performance
- Work closely with Customer Service teams to resolve delivery or supply issues
- Ensure supply chain execution supports a strong customer experience
- Handle escalations related to supply disruptions or urgent customer requirements
- Team Leadership (Manager Scope)
- Lead and develop the local supply chain team (warehouse, logistics, planning staff, Quality, SHE, RA where applicable)
- Set clear objectives, provide coaching, and support capability building
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and safety
- Continuous Improvement & Cost Control
- Identify opportunities to improve logistics efficiency, warehouse productivity, and inventory accuracy
- Support implementation of supply chain improvement projects at country level
- Monitor operational costs and contribute to cost-saving initiatives
- Compliance & Safety
- Ensure all supply chain activities comply with Brenntag's QSHE standards and local regulations
- Promote safety-first practices in warehousing and transportation operations
- Maintain accurate documentation and adherence to chemical handling requirements
- Capex Management
- Develop, propose, and manage capital expenditure (CAPEX) plans for site operations, warehousing infrastructure, equipment upgrades, and safety improvements.
- Lead end-to-end execution of approved CAPEX projectsfrom scoping, vendor evaluation, and budgeting through implementation and commissioning.
- Ensure CAPEX projects deliver operational efficiency, compliance improvements, and long-term asset reliability.
- Work closely with regional and finance teams to track progress, manage risks, and ensure alignment with business priorities.
- Site Operations Management
- Oversee daily site operations including production/blending (if applicable), bulk handling, repacking, storage, and facility maintenance.
- Ensure the site remains audit-ready and compliant with operational, environmental, and safety standards.
- Implement SOPs, monitor operational KPIs, and improve site productivity and equipment reliability.
- Coordinate emergency response readiness, waste management, utilities, and site infrastructure workstreams.
- Quality Assurance (QA)
- Ensure all products handled on site meet Brenntag's quality standards and customer requirements.
- Oversee QA processes including product release, sampling, Certificate of Analysis/Certificate of Quality management, and lab testing (where applicable).
- Lead investigations into quality deviations, non-conformances, and customer complaints with strong root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Maintain quality documentation, SOPs, and support internal/external audits (ISO, corporate, customer).
- Drive continuous quality improvement and compliance with Brenntag's Global Quality standards.
- Regulatory Affairs (RA), where applicable
- Ensure full compliance with local chemical regulations, including product registrations, licensing, permits, and transportation rules.
- Maintain accurate regulatory documentation such as SDS, product labels, declarations, and submissions in coordination with regional RA teams.
- Ensure site and supply chain activities comply with hazardous substance controls, and other regulatory requirements.
- Support internal and customer regulatory queries relating to product classification, safety, and compliance.
- Monitor regulatory updates and proactively assess operational implications.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Logistics, Business, or related field
- Minimum 10 - 12 years experience in supply chain, logistics, or warehouse operations
- Prior people-management or supervisory experience preferred
- Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP is an advantage)
- Experience in chemical distribution, industrial logistics, or regulated environments is a plus
- Strong operational mindset, problem-solving skills, and stakeholder management ability
