Job Summary:

The Senior Supply Planner plays a critical role in enabling and protecting the business by ensuring the right products, capacity, and inventory are available at the right time to meet evolving customer and operational needs. This role is responsible for stabilizing enterprise supply execution in a dynamic telecommunications environment characterized by shifting demand, inventory variability, and changing business conditions. This position leads the development and execution of inventory, allocation, and fulfillment strategies that balance service level commitments, supply continuity, inventory health, and order-to-cash (O2C) efficiency. The Senior Supply Planner transforms operational volatility into disciplined, scalable supply decisions, ensuring responsiveness to business changes while mitigating risk. Working cross-functionally with demand planning, procurement, logistics, and commercial teams, this role anticipates supply challenges, drives proactive adjustments, and supports seamless transitions during periods of change. The Senior Supply Planner also plays a key role in protecting customer experience and business performance by ensuring timely responses to disruptions and aligning supply strategies with enterprise priorities.

Responsibilities:

1. Execution and Operations

  • Stabilize supply execution across constraints and demand shifts
  • Lead prioritization and escalation management

2. Planning and Strategy

  • Define inventory, allocation, safety stock, and replenishment strategies
  • Optimize service, DSI, OTIF, and inventory tradeoffs

3. Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Align Supply Chain, Fulfillment, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Sales Operations
  • Lead supply response during shortages and transitions

4. Technical and Analytical

  • Scale supply planning models, KPI frameworks, and ERP/MRP optimization
  • Drive operational risk visibility and analytics

5. Data and Digital Capability

  • Strengthen planning data governance and exception management
  • Lead automation and AI-ready planning capabilities

6. Customer & Business Impact

  • Improve fulfillment responsiveness, inventory health, and operational efficiency
  • Reduce aging inventory and O2C (order-to-cash) cost

7. Transformation and Innovation

  • Lead planning scalability and workflow simplification
  • Define future-state supply planning capabilities

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in supply chain management or related discipline
  • APICS / ASCM certification a plus
  • 8+ yrs supply planning, inventory, or master scheduling leadership in manufacturing/electronics environments
  • ERP/MRP optimization, supply analytics, inventory strategy, KPI management
  • Data governance, automation, AI-ready planning capability
  • Executive-level communication, cross-functional influence, operational leadership
  • Supply continuity, fulfillment execution, inventory/service-level optimization

About the Role: The Supply Planner plays a key role in aligning on-hand inventory and new material supply to sales orders. The Supply Planner will review Sales Orders prior to being released to production. Available on-hand material must be reserved prior to order release to prevent inventory duplication. The Supply Planner is also key in re-aligning supply as the demand profile changes.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for available to promise calculations and slotting of new orders.
  • Analyze released sales order requirements and schedule orders based on customer needs
  • Provide and support methods for Order Fulfillment team to understand order status at all points of fulfillment process
  • Measure and report supplier performance
  • Responsible for leading process improvement projects within the Planning group.
  • Responsible for balancing inventory between company warehouses based on company needs.
  • Analyzes new orders, and schedules / promises ship dates
  • Understand production processes and timelines
  • Allocate material based on production capacities and material availability
  • Communicate Sales Order status to internal customers identifying material and production constraints impacting fulfillment schedule
  • Coordinate order priority requirements in conjunction with Order Fulfillment team
  • Drive continuous improvement projects related to the planning and forecast process.
  • Develop and present Planning KPI's monthly
  • Ability to work on several projects or issues simultaneously
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Competencies:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or related discipline preferred
  • 3 years or more experience, including at least 2 years in a master scheduling/planning role within a manufacturing company of Electronics or Telecommunications products
  • Experience with a major ERP system, preferably Oracle.
  • Superior communication skills are required for frequent interaction with senior management. This includes the ability to communicate at appropriate level to non-technical/operations managers.
  • Strategic thinker that is able to analyze and present to upper management.
  • Ability to work autonomously with a heavy workload and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to use one or more Database Management Software, create customized queries to obtain required data from multiple data sources.
  • Expert user of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
  • APICs certification a plus
