Senior System Administrator

Main Objectives and Summary:

Incident Management: Manage incidents, work orders, changes, and Jira requests on Windows and VMWare platforms for our sponsors.

System Administration: Accountable for configuration, installation, integration, and operating support systems on Windows and VMWare platforms.

Automation: Utilize Ansible for automation and configuration management to streamline operations.

Stability Recommendations: Propose recommendations for increasing the stability of managed systems.

Documentation: Keep documentation and CMDB up to date.

Procedure Development: Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.

Recovery: Repair and recover from hardware or software failures.

Additional Tasks: Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

On-Call Support: Provide on-call support to address any critical issues outside regular business hours.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent experience.

Experience and Skills:

Virtualization: Experience with VMware ESX and related technologies.

Windows Servers: At least 5 years experience in Windows server environments.

• AD DS (Active Directory Domain Services)
• GPO (Group Policy Objects)
• DFS (Distributed File System)
• DFSR (Distributed File System Replication)
• Failover Clustering
• Adding resources to the servers (CPU, memory, disks)
• File Share Services
• Print Management
• Certificate Authority Services
• Certificate management on Windows Servers (e.g., .cer, .pki, .crt)
• IIS (Internet Information Services)

Ansible: Proficiency in using Ansible for automation and configuration management.

Networking: Good knowledge of general networking.

Troubleshooting: Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.

Good communication skills in English (both written and oral) to work with international users/ colleagues.

Qualification:
