Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- NPI test development and sustaining manufacturing test system.
- Support troubleshooting test system failure and analyze test results.
- Maintain and improve accuracy of test system, Gage R&R, capital efficiency and test time reduction.
- Continuous improvement for the Test systems on various products such as optical amplifier, precision wavelength management devices and systems, and optical monitoring and diagnostic systems
- Software development for new product introduction.
- Hardware and test kit development for new product introduction.
- Sustaining manufacturing test systems for other products as required and assigned by direct manager or supervisor.
Experience/Requirements
- BEng or MSc in Engineering/Optical Communication/Electronics Engineering or similar discipline
- Minimum 7 years of working experience in optical or similar industry
Special Skills
- Experience in manufacturing test systems, preferably optics and telecom industries.
- Fluency in written and spoken English is essential.
Job Competencies
- Optical test systems
- Programming in VB, C# and LabVIEW
- Oracle or equivalent RDBMS database application development
- Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint
- Statistical tools such as Minitab or equivalent, familiar with Gage R&R, statistical process control etc.
- Knowledge in open source operating system, programming platform.
