Job Description :

This role focuses on designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines, SQL transformations, and data models on Azure and Snowflake to support enterprise analytics and data-driven decision-making.

The position covers data ingestion, transformation, modeling, and orchestration to deliver secure, scalable, cost-effective solutions. The candidate must independently write, analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize SQL for complex data engineering scenarios.

2.Job Responsibilities :

Design and implement batch and streaming data solutions on Azure and Snowflake.

Develop ETL/ELT workflows using SQL, Qlik, Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Event Hub, and Azure DevOps.

Develop, review, and troubleshoot complex SQL involving joins, aggregations, CTEs, subqueries, window functions, and stored procedures.

Analyze query results to identify logical errors, duplicate or missing records, performance issues, and data-quality problems.

Develop and maintain Snowflake tables, views, stages, streams, tasks, stored procedures, and materialized views.

Implement incremental loading using CDC, Snowflake streams, or source-system change tracking.

Create and maintain conceptual, logical, physical, and dimensional data models, including Star and Snowflake schemas.

Collaborate with stakeholders, architects, analysts, and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.

Ensure compliance with architecture, governance, security, access-control, and data-protection standards.

Translate business requirements into data diagrams, SQL logic, workflows, and automated pipelines.

Manage pipeline and Snowflake task orchestration, including dependencies, scheduling, monitoring, and failure handling.

Optimize SQL queries and data models to meet SLA, cost, scalability, and latency requirements.

Improve reliability and quality through validation, reconciliation, testing, logging, and monitoring.

Review SQL, Python, pipeline, and deployment code for correctness, security, performance, and maintainability.

Prepare trusted datasets for reporting, visualization, and machine learning.

Contribute to CI/CD deployment of Snowflake and Azure data objects.

Explore technologies aligned with industry trends and the company roadmap.

3.Primary skill set :-

1) Advanced SQL and Data Transformation

Strong hands-on SQL proficiency, including complex joins, aggregations, CTEs, subqueries, window functions, conditional logic, and deduplication.

Ability to interpret query results, translate requirements into SQL, and troubleshoot incorrect, missing, or duplicated data.

Experience developing and debugging stored procedures and optimizing large-scale queries.

2) Snowflake Data Engineering

Hands-on experience with tables, views, stages, COPY INTO, streams, tasks, stored procedures, and materialized views.

Experience with ETL/ELT, incremental loading, task dependencies, orchestration, caching, clustering, warehouse sizing, and optimization.

Knowledge of dimensional modeling and Snowflake security concepts.

3) Azure Data Engineering and Programming

Experience building pipelines with Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Event Hub, and Azure DevOps.

Proficiency in Python for processing, automation, API integration, error handling, and Snowflake connectivity.

Understanding of cloud integration, orchestration, monitoring, and CI/CD.

Ability to identify code correctness, security, performance, and maintainability issues.

4.Nice to Have skill sets : 

SQL and Snowflake performance tuning.

Integration experience with SAP, SAP HANA, SQL Server, Qlik Replicate, or SAP SLT.

Familiarity with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and automated database deployments.

Exposure to Power BI, event streaming, CDC, and near-real-time processing.

Understanding of Snowflake access control, row-level security, and secure views.

Experience supporting REST APIs through Azure Functions.

Experience in Agile/SCRUM environments
