Service Technician / Service Engineer (Chiller / HVAC)

Location: Central (Required to travel to job sites at different regions)

We are looking for a Service Technician / Service Engineer to support the servicing, troubleshooting and maintenance of chiller and HVAC-related equipment used in industrial and manufacturing environments.

This is a hands-on position suitable for candidates from either a Technician or Engineering background who enjoy diagnosing equipment problems, carrying out repairs and working directly at customer sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive maintenance and servicing of industrial chiller and cooling equipment.

• Attend customer sites to troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and technical issues.

• Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, refrigeration and control-related faults.

• Perform equipment repair, adjustment, component replacement and testing.

• Support equipment installation, start-up and commissioning.

• Conduct equipment inspections and performance checks.

• Identify potential equipment issues and recommend suitable solutions.

• Work closely with customers and internal engineering teams to resolve technical problems.

• Provide technical support and explain service findings to customers.

• Prepare service reports and maintenance records after completing assignments.

• Support equipment overhaul, upgrading and improvement projects when required.

• Ensure all work is carried out safely and according to required procedures.

• Travel to customer sites locally and overseas when required.

Requirements

• Nitec, Higher Nitec, Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning or a related discipline.

• Relevant experience in chiller, HVAC, refrigeration, cooling systems, industrial equipment or field service.

• Hands-on experience in equipment servicing, maintenance and troubleshooting.

• Good understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.

• Experience with chillers, compressors, pumps or industrial cooling equipment will be an advantage.

• Able to read and understand technical drawings, equipment manuals and basic electrical schematics.

• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

• Comfortable working at customer and industrial sites.

• Good communication and customer service skills.

• Able to work independently as well as with a technical team.

• Willing to travel locally and overseas for service assignments.
