Job Description
SCOPE AND PURPOSE
The primary objective of this position is to ensure effective execution of production schedules by coordinating shift operators, verifying task completion, and maintaining adherence to safety and environmental standards. Responsibilities include following plans set by the logistics team, complying with established quality protocols, and supporting the development of new team members through training initiatives.
The role is authorized to report shift performance against PQCDSM parameters to management, verify timely completion of daily check sheets (AM/hourly sheet/B/D slip), halt production if quality parameters are not met or machinery operates abnormally, and oversee machine setups according to planning directives. Additional responsibilities include managing material declarations and internal transfers within the AF & AX systems, as well as interpreting engineering drawings.
RESULT AREAS/MAIN ACTIVITIES
- Ensure achievement of planned production objectives, aligning with defined time, quality, and quantity metrics.
- Promote optimal utilization of resources, techniques, and equipment in full compliance with regulatory safety and environmental requirements, under the guidance of the Plant Manager and in collaboration with the Manufacturing Manager.
- Guarantee fulfillment of assigned production programs, meeting quantity, quality, and timeline standards.
- Monitor for deviations or anomalies, maintaining open communication with the Head of Department.
- Oversee coordination of resources and enforcement of safety and environmental practices.
- Closely supervise assembly processes to minimize defective output and improve customer satisfaction metrics.
- Lead the Disc Shop Team to meet productivity targets, reduce internal and external complaints and PPM, and adhere strictly to QMS procedures.
- Foster ongoing improvements in process and product quality through active participation and team engagement.
- Enhance resource efficiency while minimizing losses and scrap.
- Uphold all legal, quality, safety, and environmental obligations specific to the Disc Shop.
Qualifications
- Diploma or bachelor's degree with 5 to 10 years of relevant experience.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field with 3 to 6 years of industry experience.
- Ability to work night shifts.
- Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
