Responsibility :
1.Commissioning of FG Storage (ASRS) and Packaging Facility:
Support and supervise in Safe and timely commissioning of
- PEB Building for Packaging and warehouse areas
- FG Storage Silos
- Automated Packaging Machines
- Product transport conveyors
- ASRS system
- DCS and SAP Integration
- Through effective collaboration with ASRS (Automatic Storage and Retrieval System) vendor, construction contractor, Engg & Project teams.
- Through effective collaboration with Silo package vendor, Packaging machines vendors, construction contractor and internal stakeholders.
2. Operation Phase :
- Control weight of packed bags within permissible limits.
- Track silo quantity of carbon black.
- Send samples to QC lab during packing.
- Feed packing details of different grades in online system.
- Maintain physical stock records as per excise requirements.
- Ensure safe keeping of different grades/batches in warehouse at specified locations.
- Implement safe practices to prevent bag damage.
- Monitor and maintain finished goods stock as per booking.
- Physically check stock movement to avoid deviations.
- Repacking from Jumbo Bags to retails paper bags as per customer requirement
- Re-passing of packed materials through magnet as per customer recommendation.
- Truck checking and approval for loading as per guidelines.
- Ensure correct quantity and quality of carbon black loaded as per QC advice.
- Hand over carbon black samples and documents to drivers after loading.
- Implement work instructions and procedures.
- Suggest improvements in procedures.
- Satisfy Internal Audit requirements as Auditee.
- Monitor proper use of PPEs by employees.
- Implement and maintain safe handling procedures.
- Maintain 5-S standards in warehouse.
- Conduct periodic training to develop skills.
- Provide on-the-job training for contract labors.
- Motivate employees down the line for performance & results
- Prepare accurate daily reports.
- Present correct information, facts & figures to hierarchy
- Implement CAPA against customer complaints
- Monitor physical inventory of packed bags of different grades.
- Establish cycle count process to upkeep perpetual inventory in system
- Quarterly stock take activities covering 100% inventory to post variances.
- Follow MS documentation (SPC, Energy Review, Improvement programs, Operational Control Procedures).
- Switch off equipment, machinery, lighting when not in use.
- Report energy losses (leaks, spills, heat losses, idle running).
- Optimize daylight usage.
- Provide suggestions on energy conservation.
