The Opportunity

The Shop Floor Manager is a critical leadership role responsible for the end-to-end execution of power transformer manufacturing. You will lead the production team to deliver Power transformers while maintaining the Hitachi Global standards of safety, technical precision, and ethical conduct.

How You'll Make An Impact

  • You will enforce a Zero Harm culture, ensuring all staff strictly adhere to safety protocols for PPE, heavy lifting (cranes), Working at height and high-voltage testing areas.
  • You will manage the end-to-end manufacturing flow, including Winding, Core Stacking, Active Part Assembly, and Tanking, ensuring all units meet delivery deadlines.
  • You will oversee critical processes follow as Hitachi Quality standard and ensure production staff correct data for Quality inspection card and quality document, ensure 100% follow procedure as Global work instruction to reduce waste and eliminate the product fail.
  • You will drive Kaizen activity for HSE, Quality and Productivity improvement and implement Lean Manufacturing tools. Implement 5S and control workstation as well, lead and mentor a multi-skilled team of technicians, managing performance appraisals and technical skill matrix updates.
  • You will uphold the company's Code of Conduct, ensuring fair labor practices and high financial integrity, cooperation with Design, P&F, Testing and other cross function departments to execute production plan to meet FAT on time.
  • You will supervise, train, and evaluate the performance of Production staff.
  • You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 15-20 years of experience in the manufacturing of Power Transformers or Automotive/Electronic business.
  • HSE & Quality Certification: Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards; OHSAS certification is a significant advantage. Proficiency in ERP/SAP4 HANA software, Power BI and Advanced Excel.
  • Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of transformer internal components, insulation systems, and the physical properties of transformer oil and magnetic steel. Analytical Skills: Proficient in using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and MS Office for production tracking and data-driven decision-making.
  • Ethical Standard: Proven history of professional integrity, with the ability to lead by example and foster a culture of accountability and transparency. Soft Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced command of English (both written and verbal) for reporting to stakeholders and managing technical documentation.
