About Our Client

Our client is a global Tier 1 supplier specializing in advanced automotive electronics solutions, supplying leading OEMs across international markets. With continued investment in high-speed SMT technologies and smart manufacturing systems, the organization is seeking an experienced SMT Manager to lead production excellence and support growing program demands.

Key Responsibilities

SMT Production Management

  • Lead daily SMT manufacturing operations including line planning, manpower allocation, and machine utilization.
  • Ensure production output meets delivery schedules while maintaining high quality and efficiency.
  • Supervise end-to-end SMT processes including solder paste printing, pick-and-place, reflow, AOI, and inspection.

Process Optimization & Technical Excellence

  • Optimize SMT processes to improve yield, reduce defects, and enhance cycle time performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and data-driven problem-solving tools.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI), line setup, and process validation activities.

Equipment & Technology Management

  • Oversee maintenance and performance of SMT equipment (placement machines, SPI, AOI, reflow ovens).
  • Work closely with Engineering and Maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability and uptime.
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance manufacturing capability.

Quality & Automotive Compliance

  • Ensure SMT operations comply with IATF 16949, IPC standards, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality or process issues.
  • Maintain strong traceability, process control, and documentation standards.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Manage and develop supervisors, engineers, and technicians to build a high-performance organization.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide technical coaching and knowledge transfer across teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience managing SMT operations within automotive electronics or Tier 1 manufacturing environments.
  • Strong technical knowledge of SMT processes, materials, equipment, and defect analysis.
  • Experience with high-volume, high-reliability production and automotive quality requirements.
  • Familiar with IPC standards, IATF 16949, and structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing teams and driving KPI-based performance improvements.
  • Experience supporting NPI and customer program launches is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Good command Thai and English.
