About The Research Project

Through GA's EOR program, the successful candidate will be engaged to support amid to long-term brand research and communications intelligence project for a cosmetics brand operating in the Thai market. The project scope covers monitoring and analyzing the Thai digital and social media landscape, developing research-based communications frameworks, and delivering strategic advisory outputs that help the brand understand how to strengthen its positioning and resonance among Thai consumers.

This is a part-time research engagement to begin with, and there is an opportunity for the scope to expand into a full-time role for a candidate who demonstrates strong analytical and advisory capabilities.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced researcher and communications strategist with deep knowledge of the Thai social media landscape. In this role, you will conduct ongoing digital ecosystem research, develop brand communications frameworks, and deliver structured advisory outputs to the client for their internal decision-making. You will also provide independent research assessments that help the client evaluate and align the work of external creative and communications partners.

The ideal candidate thinks in terms of brand narratives, audience intelligence, and long-term brand positioning and is able to translate research findings into clear, well-structured frameworks and recommendations. This is an advisory and research-delivery role; the client retains all decisions on implementation and execution.

Key Responsibilities

Brand Landscape Research & Analysis

  • Conduct ongoing research into the Thai social media and digital landscape, including platform trends, audience behavior patterns, and competitor brand communications approaches
  • Audit and analyze existing social media accounts and communications outputs, identifying positioning gaps, brand consistency issues, and areas where audience engagement frameworks could be strengthened
  • Synthesize research findings into structured, evidence-based reports and present actionable advisory recommendations for the client's internal review and decision-making

Brand Communications Frameworks

  • Develop research-based communications frameworks that define brand narrative structures, audience persona profiles, and channel positioning providing the client with strategic guidance on how to articulate its identity across social media platforms
  • Design audience intelligence frameworks that map how the target demographic engages with premium beauty content across platforms, informing the client's internal communications planning
  • Produce platform-specific content strategy research covering themes, tone, format, and cadence benchmarks drawn from market analysis for the client's internal reference and adaptation
  • Research and map the Thai influencer landscape relevant to the premium beauty segment, and deliver analytical frameworks to help the client evaluate partnership fit against brand positioning criteria

Advisory Outputs & Brand Equity Measurement

  • Translate research findings into communications planning advisory reports, including brand equity indicators, qualitative audience engagement benchmarks, and positioning effectiveness assessments delivered as structured outputs for the client's internal use
  • Design a brand communications measurement framework covering qualitative brand perception indicators, content resonance signals, and audience sentiment analysis, to support the client's internal evaluation of its social media positioning
  • Continuously refine advisory outputs based on updated data analysis, platform trend research, and evolving audience behavior patterns

Independent Assessment of Agency & Partner Work

  • Provide independent, research-based assessments of external agency communications outputs, benchmarked against brand positioning frameworks and Thai consumer insights delivered to the client for their internal review and decision-making
  • Develop strategic advisory briefs and brand narrative research frameworks that equip the client to effectively evaluate and direct their external agency partners
  • Deliver research-based narrative frameworks and consumer insight reports that inform how the client might approach integrated storytelling across digital and offline channels with all implementation decisions retained by the client

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience in social media research, brand communications strategy, or digital brand analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to develop structured advisory frameworks not just content execution with a focus on brand positioning analysis and audience intelligence
  • Strong understanding of the Thai digital ecosystem, including platform dynamics, influencer culture, and premium consumer behavior
  • Experience working with or researching premium, luxury, or high-consideration beauty or lifestyle brands
  • Ability to synthesize research and data into clear, structured advisory outputs and written recommendations
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Comfortable working independently in a project-based, deliverable-driven environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience producing research assessments or advisory briefs used to evaluate or brief creative and communications agencies
  • Familiarity with Japanese beauty brand culture, aesthetics, or brand storytelling conventions
  • Experience mapping influencer landscapes and developing evaluation frameworks for premium or niche beauty segments
  • Understanding of how social media communications research contributes to long-term brand equity analysis
  • Exposure to regional or cross-market brand research projects
