Could you be the full-time Software Design Engineer in Bangkok we're looking for

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your software development expertise in a cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside collaborative and innovative teammates.

You'll play a key role in ensuring the software for our Signalling System meets its functional, safety, and availability targets. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (such as software architects, hardware designers, and integration teams), contribute to software specifications and architecture, and develop and test software components, among other responsibilities.

You'll specifically take care of software development using C/C++, and configuration management, but also support hardware/software integration and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

We'll look to you for:

  • Contributing to the elaboration of the software specification and architecture in collaboration with the software architect
  • Developing software components, including detailed design and coding
  • Setting up the software development toolchain
  • Specifying, designing, preparing, and performing tests and verifications of deliverables
  • Ensuring software work products are under configuration management
  • Supporting software/software and hardware/software integration
  • Staying informed of technological advancements through techno watch
  • Contributing to the standardization of solutions, including implementing reusable solutions and COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf)
  • Applying processes and standards to ensure quality
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives

All About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems (or a related field)
  • At least 3 years of experience in software development
  • Experience in software development using C/C++
  • Knowledge of Linux, networking, and protocols
  • Familiarity with scripting languages and shell utilities
  • Experience using tools such as Git, GitLab, and PC-Lint (optional)
  • Experience in formulating subsystem requirements and technical writing
  • Experience in vital or secure software development (an additional advantage)
  • Experience in the railway domain (an additional advantage)
