Why this role
Were building a product that needs both speed and steadiness someone who can hand-code the core, use modern tools to accelerate, and ship features that work in real life.
How youll work C.R.A.F.T.
- Code the essentials clearly and cleanly
- Reason about the problem before picking tools
- Augment with smart assistants when they help (then verify)
- Fit into a team that values careful reviews and shared standards
- Test and measure so what ships, sticks
What youll do
- Build features end-to-end (frontend, backend, data) with simple, thoughtful UX
- Integrate third-party services and keep data flows tidy
- Write small docs and leave the codebase better than you found it
- Pair with teammates who prefer handwritten code and meet them there
What you bring
- Solid experience across the web stack TypeScript/JavaScript on both frontend and backend, plus SQL: think React/Next.js or Angular on the UI; Laravel, WordPress, PHP for front-end; Node.js (Express/NestJS) or Python (FastAPI) for services; REST/GraphQL APIs and webhooks; PostgreSQL/MySQL/MariaDB with migrations; basic caching (e.g., Redis), auth (OAuth/OIDC), On-page SEO, and CI/CD familiarity.
- Youve shipped production code and owned outcomes (not just tickets)
- Clear communication, clean PRs, and calm debugging
- Comfortable using modern dev assistants (e.g., Cursor, Lovable) as accelerants while holding yourself to traditional engineering discipline
Nice to have (subtle signals we value)
- Light workflow know-how (n8n/Make/Zapier) for glue work
- Comfort designing small background workers/agents for routine tasks
- Familiarity with LLM-powered features and how to test them responsibly
Success in 30 days
A few meaningful features in production, cleaner paths between systems, steady deploys, and a brief runbook others can follow.
How to apply
- Send me an email at [Confidential Information] --> Share a link (repo/gist) or one-page note showing a feature you shipped: what was stuck, what you built, and how you balanced hand-written code with tool-assisted speed.
