The Opportunity
We're looking for a hands-on Engineering Manager who enjoys building products, solving complex engineering problems and leading high-performing teams.
This is not a people-management-only role. You'll spend significant time on architecture, code reviews, production systems, mentoring engineers and working closely with founders to shape the technology roadmap.
What You'll Own
- Lead end-to-end engineering for all Yagy Tech products.
- Drive architecture, scalability, security and platform reliability.
- Design and build scalable backend services and APIs.
- Own AWS cloud infrastructure, deployments and production operations.
- Review code, mentor engineers and establish engineering best practices.
- Improve engineering velocity while maintaining high quality standards.
- Drive CI/CD, observability, monitoring and incident management.
- Collaborate with Product, Operations and Business teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
- Introduce AI-powered automation across engineering and business workflows.
What We're Looking For
Must Have
- 7–10 years of software engineering experience.
- 2+ years leading engineering teams.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Node.js
- Express.js
- Angular
- TypeScript
- MongoDB
- Redis
- Strong API design and Microservices experience.
- Hands-on AWS experience (EC2, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, Auto Scaling, Route53).
- Experience with CI/CD and production deployments.
- Strong debugging, system design and performance optimization skills.
- Experience leading code reviews and mentoring developers.
Good to Have
- Experience in SaaS, FoodTech, Marketplace or Logistics platforms.
- Payment gateway integrations.
- Subscription platforms.
- AI APIs, LLMs and workflow automation.
- Firebase, Crashlytics and Analytics.
- Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/CloudFormation).
