Job Description
Honeywell is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented
Software Test Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions for enterprise and cloud-based applications. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in
Java, Selenium WebDriver, API testing, and test automation frameworks, with a passion for delivering high-quality software through modern testing practices.
As a member of the engineering team, you will collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and QA teams to ensure robust, scalable, and reliable software solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Java and Selenium WebDriver.
- Develop and enhance automation frameworks using industry best practices.
- Create and execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test scenarios.
- Perform API testing using tools such as Postman, Rest Assured, or similar technologies.
- Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or equivalent tools.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams for issue resolution.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Maintain test documentation, execution reports, and testing metrics.
- Improve test coverage and optimize automation execution time.
- Ensure quality standards throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in software testing and automation.
- Strong programming skills in Java.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and TestNG/JUnit.
- Experience in framework development and maintenance.
- Good understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
- Experience with API testing tools and automation.
- Knowledge of SQL and database validation.
- Familiarity with Git, Maven, and version control systems.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
