Your background:
- 5–8 years of experience in Manual Testing within the Banking and Financial Services domain.
- Hands-on experience in testing payment applications and payment processing systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform Manual Functional Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), Regression Testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Understand business and functional requirements and prepare comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
- Execute test cases, identify defects, log and track issues, and validate defect fixes.
- Perform end-to-end testing of payment transaction flows to ensure application quality and business compliance.
- Work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, and Product Owners to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Ensure test execution is completed within project timelines and maintain test documentation.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in Manual Testing with a solid understanding of SDLC and STLC.
- Good knowledge of payment systems and payment rails, including SWIFT, ACH, RTGS, NEFT, IMPS, UPI, SEPA, and ISO 20022.
- Experience in API validation using tools such as Postman or SoapUI.
- Good working knowledge of SQL for data validation and backend testing.
- Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as JIRA, HP ALM, or similar.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- ISTQB Foundation Level Certification.
- Exposure to Automation Testing (Selenium/Java) is an added advantage but not mandatory.
- Basic understanding of CI/CD processes is desirable.
