Role Summary
As a Solution Architect within the Cloud and Infrastructure Solutions Architects group, you will work closely with pursuit teams, technical SMEs, and leadership to define, design, and deliver complex customer transformation programs. You will act as a key technical pre sales expert, leading solution architecture for public cloud (AWS, Azure), hybrid cloud, and on-premises modernization initiatives.
The ideal candidate is highly experienced in cloud adoption, migration, infrastructure modernization, and multi-cloud solution architecture. You will confidently engage with C-level stakeholders, enterprise architects, and IT infrastructure leaders to articulate solution value, shape strategy, and influence outcomes.
You will also contribute to the evolution of the Cloud & Infrastructure portfolio through thought leadership, field feedback, and collaboration with service delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities:
1.) Pre Sales & Solutioning
- Provide high-level and detailed consultative solution architecture and technical sales support for key customer opportunities.
- Understand customer business drivers and translate them into scalable and cost-optimized technical architectures.
- Design public cloud (AWS, Azure), hybrid cloud, and multi-cloud architectures, including landing zones, governance models, automation frameworks, and operational models.
- Develop high-level and low-level architecture documents, BoMs, migration plans, and technical solution descriptions.
- Lead customer workshops, discovery sessions, and whiteboarding engagements.
2.) Technical Modernization & Migration
- Architect modernization solutions for legacy on-premises infrastructure, including:
- Servers and virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V)
- Enterprise storage (SAN / NAS / Object)
- Network, security, firewalls, load balancers
- Backup and disaster recovery solutions
- Operating systems, databases, and middleware
- Containers (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS, EKS)
- Develop on-premises to cloud migration strategies including re-host, re-platform, re-factor, and consolidation approaches.
- Participate in or lead Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and solution demonstrations.
3.) Customer Engagement & Leadership
- Engage confidently with CxOs, IT Directors, Enterprise Architects, and Infrastructure Leaders on IT strategy, cloud adoption, and modernization initiatives.
- Build trusted relationships with customers and position the organization as a strategic technology advisor.
- Provide consultative support to pursuit teams, solution leaders, and deal architects.
- Mentor junior architects and contribute to building architecture capability within the practice.
4.) Commercial & Proposal Development
- Develop end-to-end technical and commercial proposals, including solution architecture, migration scope, delivery model, and cost modeling.
- Work with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, others) to optimize solution costs and commercial viability.
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities across engagements.
- Support RFI / RFP responses and deal strategy development.
5.) Thought Leadership & Portfolio Contribution
- Publish reference architectures, white papers, and best practices.
- Provide field insights and customer feedback to refine cloud offerings, services, and accelerators.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Systems Integration or Infrastructure solutions.
- Minimum 5 years as a Solution Architect in pre sales, consulting, or enterprise architecture roles.
- Proven experience designing and selling cloud, hybrid cloud, and infrastructure modernization solutions.

- Public Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle Cloud, IBM Cloud (IaaS, PaaS, cloud-native services, identity, governance, automation).
- Hybrid Cloud Architecture integrating on-premises and cloud environments.
- Traditional Infrastructure: compute, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), enterprise storage, networking, firewalls, load balancing.
- Disaster Recovery & High Availability: backup, multi-AZ / multi-region architectures, failover strategies.
- Container Platforms:Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, AKS, EKS.
- Middleware & Databases:capacity planning, upgrades, modernization strategies.
- Automation & DevOps:Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD pipelines.
