Role: PreSales Solution Architect (Cloud & Hybrid Infrastructure)
Role Summary
As a Solution Architect within the Cloud and Infrastructure Solutions Architects group, you will work closely with pursuit teams, technical SMEs, and leadership to define, solution, and deliver complex customer transformation programs. You will act as a key technical presales expert, leading solution architecture for public cloud (AWS, Azure), hybrid cloud, and onpremises modernization initiatives.
The ideal candidate is highly experienced in cloud adoption, migration, infrastructure modernization, and multicloud solution architecture. You will confidently engage with CxOlevel stakeholders, enterprise architects, and IT infrastructure leaders to articulate solution value, shape strategy, and influence outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
PreSales & Solutioning
- Provide highlevel and detailed consultative solution architecture and technical sales support for key customer opportunities.
- Understand customer business drivers and translate them into practical, scalable, and costoptimized technical architectures.
- Design public cloud (AWS, Azure), hybrid cloud, and multicloud architectures, including landing zones, governance models, automation frameworks, and operational models.
- Develop highlevel and lowlevel architecture documents, BoMs, migration plans, and technical solution descriptions.
- Lead customer workshops, discovery sessions, and whiteboarding engagements.
Technical Modernization & Migration
- Architect modernization solutions for legacy onpremises infrastructure, including:
- Servers, virtualization platforms (VMware/HyperV)
- Storage (SAN/NAS/Object)
- Network, security, firewalls, load balancers
- Backup & disaster recovery
- Operating systems, databases, middleware
- Containers (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS, EKS)
- Develop strategies for onprem to cloud migration, including application rehost, replatform, refactor, and consolidation approaches.
- Participate in or lead PoCs / demos to validate solution approaches.
Customer Engagement & Leadership
- Engage confidently with CxOs, IT Directors, Enterprise Architects, and infrastructure leads to discuss IT strategy, cloud adoption, and modernization paths.
- Build trusted relationships with customers and position DXC as a strategic advisor.
- Provide consultative support to pursuit teams, Solution Leaders, and deal architects.
- Mentor junior architects and contribute to building architecture capability within the practice.
Commercial & Proposal Development
- Create endtoend technical and commercial proposals, including architecture, migration efforts, delivery scope, and cost modeling.
- Work with cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, others) to optimize costs and propose valuedriven, commercially viable solutions.
- Identify upsell and crosssell opportunities throughout the engagement lifecycle.
- Support RFI/RFP responses and contribute to deal strategy.
Thought Leadership & Portfolio Contribution
- Publish white papers, reference architectures, and best practices for internal or external use.
- Provide field insights and customer feedback to refine DXC's cloud portfolio, offerings, and accelerators.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years in systems integration with handson experience across hybrid infrastructure.
- Minimum 5 years as a Solution Architect in presales, consulting, or architecture roles.
- Proven success designing and selling cloud, hybrid, and infrastructure modernization solutions.
Technical Skills & Expertise
Core Expertise
- AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle, IBM Public Cloud architecture: IaaS, PaaS, cloud-native services, identity, governance, automation.
- Hybrid Cloud architectures integrating onprem and cloud environments.
- Traditional Infrastructure: compute, virtualization (VMware, HyperV), enterprise storage, networks, firewalls, load balancing.
- Disaster Recovery & High Availability: backup/recovery, multiAZ/region architectures, failover strategies.
- Container Platforms: Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes, AKS, EKS.
- Middleware & Databases: Sizing, upgrades, modernization considerations.
- Automation & DevOps: Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD pipelines.
- Cloud Security fundamentals across identity, policy, and network layers.
Familiarity With
- Cloud migration tools & frameworks (Azure Migrate, AWS Migration Hub, etc.).
- Cloud orchestration platforms and monitoring tools.
- Multicloud operations, governance, FinOps concepts.
- Integration of 3rdparty tools and ISV technologies into cloud solutions.

- Strong Thai as well as English verbal and written communication
- Excellent communication and presentation capabilitiesable to articulate complex solutions to Csuite as well as technical teams.
- Strong leadership, consultative engagement style, negotiation skills, and storytelling ability.
- Ability to manage ambiguity, lead solution threads independently, and collaborate across multiple teams.
Certifications (Preferred)
- AWS Solutions Architect (Associate/Professional)
- Microsoft Azure Architect Technologies / Design
- VMware, Cisco, Red Hat, or storage vendor certifications
- TOGAF or comparable architecture frameworks a plus
