Activities

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for entitlements in a banking architecture.

Design and architect security solutions, with a focus on entitlements and access control, ensuring alignment with business goals and compliance requirements.

Evaluate, select, and analyze entitlement solutions from vendors such as PlainID, Axiomatics, Authzed, or Oso.

Define integration strategies to ensure seamless data flow between systems handling customer entitlements and other banking applications.

Create architectural documentation and diagrams to communicate security solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Design authentication and authorization frameworks to manage customer access to sensitive information.

Collaborate with external vendors and partners to understand their capabilities and integrations with the chosen entitlement solutions.

Identify opportunities for performance improvement and scalability enhancements in systems handling customer entitlements.

Participate in vendor meetings, demonstrations, and negotiations to ensure the selected solutions meet the organization's requirements.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of security processes and practices within the agile team.

Mentor and coach team members on security architecture and entitlement best practices.

Skills / experience required

Minimum of 8 years of experience in solution architecture with a focus on banking and customer entitlements.

Proven experience in gathering and analyzing requirements for entitlements in complex banking architectures.

Extensive knowledge of security permissions and access control frameworks. Hands-on experience with authorization solutions such as PlainID, Axiomatics, Authzed, or Oso.

In-depth knowledge of banking systems, customer data management, and regulatory frameworks.

Experience with retail banking security models covering customer facing digital channels and staff assisted channels.

Able to assess and establish security policies and translate these into the design & configuration of permissions/privileges/entitlements in both packaged software solutions (i.e. CRM solutions, banking systems) as well as externalised FGA packages.

Implemented the latest zero-trust architectural patterns, particularly in a cloud based API/micro-services environment

Experience in performing vendor selection and analysis for entitlement solutions.

Proficiency in creating architectural documentation and diagrams.

Experience with relevant technologies, such as identity and access management solutions, data governance tools, and API integrations.
