What you will do
This role is responsible for developing and executing enterprise-wide category management strategies across spend categories, integrating strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and risk mitigation. Develop and implement sourcing strategies for HR Service categories using the FedEx sourcing methodology, including market analysis, supplier assessment and selection, total cost of ownership evaluation, contract negotiation, and supplier performance management. Partner closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to deliver value, optimize costs, manage risk, and support business objectives. This role requires strong procurement expertise, exceptional negotiation skills, deep data analysis, and the ability to influence and collaborate across a diverse stakeholder network.
Essential Functions
- Lead strategic sourcing and category management activities, including spend analysis, market assessments, benchmarking, supplier evaluations, and development of category strategies and supplier performance criteria.
- Develop and maintain category expertise, market intelligence, and supplier networks while partnering closely with internal stakeholders to support business objectives and sourcing initiatives.
- Identify, evaluate, qualify, and select suppliers through research, assessment, competitive tenders, and due diligence processes, ensuring alignment with company standards and requirements.
- Lead supplier negotiations, contract development, and agreement reviews to secure favorable commercial terms while ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and corporate requirements.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, serving as a key point of contact for supplier communications, performance management, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Analyze pricing proposals, cost structures, and total cost of ownership to support vendor selection, cost savings opportunities, and value optimization.
- Monitor supplier performance against established KPIs, conduct risk assessments, and implement mitigation strategies to support business continuity and compliance objectives.
- Lead cross-functional projects and programs, collaborating effectively with business stakeholders, Finance, Legal, and senior leadership to drive successful outcomes.
- Foster procurement process improvements by implementing best practices and leveraging tools, systems, and analytics to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and overall procurement performance.

You will be a great fit if you
- 2–3 years in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Strong knowledge of procurement and sourcing processes, contract management, supplier relationship management, and negotiation strategies, all focused on best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data, develop insights, and make recommendations that support sourcing and category strategies.
- Experience evaluating supplier markets, cost structures, and total cost of ownership to drive value and business outcomes.
- Experience delivering measurable value through category expertise and category market knowledge
- Strong project management, analytical, detail-oriented, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across a global organization.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and data analytics/reporting tools such as Power BI, SharePoint, SAP, Oracle, or similar business systems.
- Proficient in English and Chinese; multilingual skills are a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to influence across a global organization.
- Experience supporting HR Services categories such as Temporary Labor, Business Travel, and Corporate Credit Cards is preferred. Experience supporting APAC markets is a plus.
- Knowledge of labor laws, compliance requirements, and contingent labor programs is advantageous.
