Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located at Hansa River House in the Samphanthawong district. The Sous Chef will assist in managing kitchen operations, overseeing food preparation, and ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene. Responsibilities include supervising kitchen staff, maintaining inventory, coordinating with other departments, and contributing to the creation of innovative menu items. The candidate will also maintain compliance with food safety regulations and assist the Head Chef in training and mentoring the kitchen team.

Qualifications

  • Strong culinary skills, including food preparation, plating, and creative menu development
  • Leadership and team management abilities, with experience in supervising and training kitchen staff
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and kitchen practices
  • Time management, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic kitchen environment
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience in the food and hospitality industry
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a diverse team environment
  • Experience in cost control, inventory management, and kitchen supply ordering is a plus
