The Sous Chef supports the Executive Chef in leading the culinary operations of the hotel, ensuring exceptional food quality, consistency, operational efficiency, and guest satisfaction across all food production areas. The role is responsible for supervising kitchen operations, developing culinary talent, maintaining food safety compliance, optimizing costs, and delivering innovative dining experiences aligned with NH Collection brand standards and Minor Hotels hospitality philosophy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Executive Chef in managing daily kitchen operations.
  • Supervise food preparation while maintaining exceptional quality and consistency.
  • Lead and coach the culinary team to deliver outstanding guest experiences.
  • Ensure compliance with HACCP and food safety standards.
  • Control food costs, inventory, and minimize waste.
  • Assist with menu development and seasonal culinary promotions.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized kitchen environment.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in a luxury hotel or upscale restaurant.
  • Strong leadership and culinary management skills.
  • Knowledge of HACCP and food safety practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Good English communication skills.
