Job Purpose
To lead the development of a high-impact youth startup ecosystem that bridges the gap between academic innovation and commercial reality. This role focuses on identifying student talents and providing structured mentorship through the True LAB Startup Clinic and True Lab Hackathons to transform early-stage ideas into scalable, commercial-grade solutions. By orchestrating strategic partnerships between universities and internal Business Units (BUs), the position translates corporate pain points into innovation themes, driving the co-development of digital platforms that solve real-world business challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish a comprehensive roadmap to build and sustain a youth startup community, setting clear goals and strategies that align with the organization's long-term innovation objectives.
- Collaborate with internal Business Units (BUs) and university representatives to identify real-world business pain points. Translate these challenges into innovation themes and development topics that guide youth startups in creating high-impact solutions.
- Design and execute startup development programs, such as the True LAB Startup Clinic, True LAB Hackathon to transform early-stage student ideas into scalable, commercial-grade solutions.
- Cultivate and sustain strategic partnerships with business stakeholders to secure essential resources, including financial backing and prizes, for the True Lab Hackathon.
- Provide deep-dive technical guidance to students to bridge the gap between academic code and production-ready architecture. This involves grooming talent in emerging technologiessuch as AI, IoT, or Digital Platformsto ensure their prototypes are technically robust, secure, and scalable for real-world deployment.
Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in software/Electronic Engineering or related fields and master's degree in business or economics
- Technical mentorship & grooming startups/students for at least 3 years
- Experience in translating business pain points into technical requirements that result in live product features
- Exceptional skills in collaboration and facilitation.
- Outstanding knowledge of program design, startup and entrepreneurs
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office (MS Power Point & MS Excel)
