To support the Legal Advisory function in providing clear, practical, and risk‑focused legal advice to business units, credit teams, and stakeholders, primarily in relation to banking transactions, commercial contracts, and regulatory compliance.
The role is detail‑driven and designed to build strong fundamentals in banking law and in‑house legal practice.
Job description.
1. Contract Review & Drafting Support
- Review standard and non‑standard banking and commercial agreements, including:
- Credit‑related documents and amendments
- Vendor and service agreements
- NDAs, POAs, engagement letters, and bank standard forms
- Identify legal risks, deviations from standard positions, and issues requiring escalation.
2. Legal Research & Issue Analysis
- Track legal updates and assist in preparing internal knowledge summaries.
- Summarize findings in plain terms (issue / risk / recommendation).
3. Collaborate with Cross-functional Teams:
- Work closely with business team to ensure alignment with the organization's objectives while safeguarding legal interests (i.e. translate legal concerns into practical guidance that business teams can apply).
- Participate (as assigned) in internal discussions or meetings on product or transaction issues.
Qualifications.
- LL.B. (Thai law) and/or LL.M.
- 5 years of experience in:
- Law firm (banking / corporate / commercial), or
- In‑house legal function, preferably in financial services.
- Strong reading and drafting ability in Thai and English contracts.
