ROLE PURPOSE
Bring cost impact forward: model and foresee cost impact from the moment a design is submitted, rally the team to build cost options, and raise cost risk early so gaps to target margin close before they harden.
Key Responsibilities
- Design a cost-analysis model to foresee cost impact from design submission.
- Estimate cost impact under uncertainty before final numbers exist.
- Convince the team to create and compare cost options.
- Raise cost-impact risk early and drive gap-closing actions to target margin
- Approve cost-option scenarios; flag high-risk gaps for decision
- Partner with PE and production to test the feasibility of options

Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Engineering, Finance, or a Cost / Industrial field
- 3+ years in product costing, cost engineering, or NPD
- Strong analytical and scenario-modeling skills; comfortable with assumptions
- Able to influence cross-functional teams with evidence
