People Insight Analytics (Data Engineer/ETL)
Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and motivated People Insight Analytics (Data Engineer/ETL) to join our People Insight team.
As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting People Insight Analytics (Data Engineer/ETL), reporting, and data-related tasks under the guidance of our People Insight Manager. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in Python , SQL script and ETL tools.
A passion for continuous learning, and the ability to work independently.
Proficiency in Power BI, ETL Tools, Database tools, Excel Script, VBA, Excel or Automation is also a valuable skillset we seek in the ideal candidate.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of data-related tasks and ensure accountability for delivering
accurate and timely results.
- Assist in data collection, cleansing, and organization to ensure data integrity and precision.
- Collaborate with People Insight Manager and business users to analyze data and identify meaningful insights.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines to streamline data analysis processes.
- Create and maintain automated data reports and dashboards for various
stakeholders (Power BI).
- Perform data management by using data warehouse such as Microsoft SQL server
or Oracle data warehouse.
- Utilize Python and SQL script to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from multiple sources.
- Proficiently use Excel Script, VBA, or Excel to perform data manipulations and
automate processes.
- Create automation data integration flow (Power Automated or other tools).
- Pay meticulous attention to detail to identify and rectify discrepancies in data.
- Employ logical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in data.
- Demonstrate a never-give-up attitude when tackling complex data challenges.
- Conduct independent research using online resources to enhance understanding of data-related topics. (Must be able to google)
- Proactively seek opportunities to expand knowledge and skillset in data analysis and relevant tools.
- Work on ad-hoc data projects as required.
Requirements (Mandatory)
- Bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, data science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Proficiency coding in Python and SQL for data analysis and manipulation.
- Strong understanding of SQL script and database concepts.
- Excellent logical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrates accountability and perseverance in completing tasks and achieving goals.
- Fast learner with the ability to quickly adapt to new data technologies and tools.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate results.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Eagerness to learn and a proactive approach to self-learning.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI).
Preferable
- Familiarity with various type of data. Able to conduct complex patterns to assess the quality and cleansing data.
- Proficiency in writing complex scripts such as Transact-SQL (Store Procure/Functions)
- Proficient in any Data warehouse tools such as Microsoft SQL Server, SQL
Database, Synapse, Oracle Datawarehouse, S3 or any other.
- Proficient in any data pipeline tools such as Azure data factory, Airflow, SSIS, Oracle data integration or any other.
- Proficiency in writing complex scripts in Python using Anaconda.
- Proficiency in Excel Script, VBA, or Excel for data manipulation and automation.
- Experience with Cloud Platforms (Oracle, Azure, AWS, or Google) is preferable.
- Previous experience in data analysis or related internships is advantageous.
- Other related such as HTML, CSS, Node.js, JavaScript is also advantage.
