Dexian is Hiring: SQL Database Administrator (SQL DBA)

Dexian is looking for an experienced SQL Database Administrator (SQL DBA) to join our team in Bangkok, Thailand. This is a full-time, on-site contract position with a minimum project duration of 3 years up to 5 years. We welcome both local and expatriate candidates who are interested in working in Thailand.

As a SQL DBA, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, securing, and optimizing SQL-based database management systems, including Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle Database. Your primary objective will be to ensure database availability, security, reliability, and optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and support SQL database platforms, including Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle Database.
• Design, implement, maintain, automate, and optimize database solutions.
• Provide database consulting and technical support for on-premises and cloud database environments.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize database performance.
• Evaluate, test, and certify new database technologies, versions, patches, and upgrades.
• Ensure database security, backup, recovery, and data integrity.
• Collaborate with application developers, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to support business requirements.
• Develop and maintain database documentation, operational procedures, and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a SQL Database Administrator (SQL DBA).
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server is required.
• Experience with other database management systems such as Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MariaDB is an advantage.
• Experience with cloud database services such as Amazon RDS (AWS) or other cloud platforms is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of database administration, performance tuning, backup and recovery, security, and high availability.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Good English communication skills. Candidates with TOEIC 750+, TOEFL iBT 98+, or IELTS 6.5+ are preferred.
