Job Requirements*

6 to 12+ Years of experience as a MS SQL Server DBA,

· Strong proficiency in handling DB backups- Restore, DB migration activities, performance tuning issues, HA-DR related issues and other BAU tasks).

· Ability to work efficiently and independent in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and communicate challenges or issues proactively to meet all the SLAs.>

Key Responsibilities*

< - Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases across development, test, and production environments.

• Perform database administration tasks including creation, backup, restore, migration, and upgrade of SQL Server instances

- Implement and manage high availability and disaster recovery solutions such as AlwaysOn Availability Groups, log shipping, clustering, and replication

- Design and maintain backup and recovery strategies; regularly test restore procedures to ensure data integrity and business continuity

- Manage security by implementing authentication, authorization, encryption, and auditing to protect sensitive data

• Optimize database structures, indexes, queries, and stored procedures for performance and scalability
• Monitor and manage database capacity planning, storage growth, and resource utilization
• Automate routine DBA tasks using SQL Server Agent jobs, PowerShell, or scripts
• Collaborate with application developers, infrastructure teams, and architects to support application releases and migrations
