Sr Failure Analysis (Electrical & Mechanical) Engineer

About our group:

Korat ASE provides the service support of HDD failure analysis on both internal testbed (CERT, ODT, Reliability) and customer returns.

About the role - you will:

• Provide HDD failure analysis from both internal testbed and customer returns on electrical, mechanical and/or resonance related failures.
• Provide HDD configuration & attributes analysis.
• Identify the failure's root cause, drive for the corrective and improvement actions.
• Work with the related areas (Design Center teams, Factory teams, Supplier teams and other analysis teams) for failure investigation, root cause understanding and action implementation.
• Develop the automated failure analysis system/tools and utilization through AI approach.

About you:

• Demonstrates initiative and the ability to learn independently.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and presentation).
• Team player with stakeholder management skills.
• Have a clear approach to apply AL/ML for long-term improvement in this field.
• Able to prioritize the multi-tasks and work effectively in a dynamic environment.

Your experience includes:

• Bachelor's degree or above in mechatronics, mechanical, electronics or electrical engineering.
• Experience in HDD manufacturing or HDD failure analysis 5 years in advance.
• Working proficiency with data analysis programs and AI/ML programs.
• Fluent communication in English language.
• Good knowledge in data analysis and working proficiency with analytic tools (such as JMP).
• Computer programming skills in Python (or C++, Java, python).
