Role Summary
We're seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to drive architectural decisions and lead delivery on our enterprise micro-frontend platform. You'll shape how multiple Angular applications compose within a shell, define patterns for cross-team consumption, and mentor engineers on modern frontend practices — serving industrial IoT operations.
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement micro-frontend solutions using Module Federation / Native Federation
- Own the shell application: routing, authentication bridge, remote loading, and cross-MFE communication
- Define and enforce library boundaries, dependency constraints, and code ownership
- Design scalable state management strategies (NgRx, signals, shared stores) across federated remotes
- Lead performance optimization efforts: bundle analysis, lazy loading, caching strategies
- Establish frontend security practices (CSP headers, input sanitization, token management)
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, pairing, and technical guidance
- Collaborate with platform/DevOps teams on CI/CD, Azure Static Web Apps deployment, and infrastructure
- Drive technical decisions with ADRs and participate in cross-team architecture forums
Required Skills
- 5–7+ years of professional frontend development, with 3+ years focused on Angular (v21+)
- Deep expertise in TypeScript, RxJS, and reactive/declarative patterns
- Hands-on experience with micro-frontend architecture (Webpack Module Federation, Native Federation, or similar)
- Production experience with NgRx or equivalent state management at scale
- Solid understanding of web security (OWASP, CSP, secure token handling)
- Experience designing and maintaining shared component libraries / design systems
- Proven ability to optimize frontend performance (Core Web Vitals, bundle size, runtime efficiency)
- Comfortable with Azure ecosystem (Static Web Apps, Pipelines, Entra ID / MSAL)
Nice to Have
- Experience integrating with industrial/IoT backends or real-time data streams
- Contributions to internal developer tooling, CLI extensions, or Nx plugins
- Track record of leading cross-team frontend initiatives or guilds
