As a Sr Manufacturing Technician here at Solstice. You will lead a team of technicians and provide technical expertise to ensure the smooth operation of manufacturing processes and systems. Your leadership and technical skills will contribute to the success of our projects and the overall growth of our business.

  • In this role, you will have a significant impact on our TIM business unit by providing technical support, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the quality and efficiency of our manufacturing processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and implement best practices. Your attention to detail and ability to solve complex problems will be instrumental in meeting project deadlines and delivering high-quality results.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Oversight: Monitor and oversee the day-to-day manufacturing operations (Mixing, Extruding, Coating, Cutting, SP process, Inspection & Packing) to ensure they run smoothly and efficiently i.e. process audit, Gemba walked.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement, optimization, and cost reduction. Implement changes as needed to enhance productivity and quality through Kaizen program, process & machine auditing
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment to ensure it operates correctly. Coordinate with maintenance teams for repairs and upgrades when necessary.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that products meet quality standards and specifications. Conduct inspections and tests as required to verify product integrity.
  • Training and Mentorship: Provide training and mentorship to operators. Share knowledge and best practices to help develop their skills and expertise.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of production activities, including equipment logs, process parameters, and quality control data. Generate reports on key performance metrics and communicate findings to management.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Identify and mitigate potential hazards or risks.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments such as engineering, quality assurance, and supply chain to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of objectives.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve issues that arise during manufacturing processes promptly and effectively. Implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Project Management: Lead or participate in projects aimed at improving manufacturing processes, introducing new products, or expanding production capacity.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or as requested by Engineer or Manager

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Manufacturing Technician or a related role
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to work on shift

  • Diploma or bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
  • Basic knowledge in Microsoft office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
