Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Supplier Quality professional to lead supplier quality activities throughout product development and programme launch phases. This role will drive APQP execution, supplier readiness, and PPAP approval to ensure successful programme delivery aligned with customer and internal requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead supplier APQP activities from project kick-off through PPAP approval in line with programme timing and quality standards.
- Manage SAQP activities including risk assessment, process sign-off, line certification, safe launch, and supplier readiness reviews.
- Review and approve supplier quality documents including Control Plans, PFMEA, MSA, capability studies, and PPAP submissions.
- Ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements and OEM quality systems.
- Drive problem-solving activities using methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why, DOE, Kepner-Tregoe, and Red X.
- Coordinate inspection, containment, and corrective action plans during programme launch and production ramp-up.
- Support colour/appearance approval processes (AAR) and customer submission requirements where applicable.
- Monitor supplier quality performance and ensure timely closure of quality concerns.
- Coach and mentor Quality Engineers on automotive quality standards and continuous improvement practices.
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Master's Degree preferred).
- Minimum 10 years experience in automotive manufacturing and supplier quality management within multinational organisations.
- Strong expertise in APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan, SPC, DOE, GD&T, and IATF 16949.
- Proven experience managing supplier quality during new programme launches.
- Familiar with customer-specific requirements across global OEMs.
- Knowledge of IMDS systems and gage validation concepts is an advantage.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capability.
- Professional command of English, both written and spoken.
