This team is responsible for Drive Firmware & Test Engineering in Seagate for new products. We work closely with the design centers to ensure that all engineering requirements and new product launches are met on time.
. Work on new product software regression to ensure software and firmware run smoothly in the factory
. Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs, and modifies software. Troubleshoots code for firmware (IC embedded code) applications
. Work often involves analog and digital hardware and software operating systems
. Ensure with factory software team implementation and delivery of the Test Process codes, Tester Software and Link Software to Firmware
. Build configs using WebConfig, send out test instructions to the test floor, and update the SBR tracking files
. Release working PCO new configs to Factory
. Monitor test process yields & initiate first-level FA, including reviewing results files for script issues on new products
. Develop a tool to support Drive Firmware & Test Engineering workflow improvement based on new product design
. Optimize and support project of test time to support customer demand per capacity planning
. Strong skills in high-level programming languages (e.g, C, C++, Python)
. Excellent communication skills, as well as exceptional presentation skills
. Positive thinking and good logical working
. Fluent in English
. Bachelor's or higher degree in Engineering discipline and/or relevant experience
. Be able to use code release tools such as Perforce version control, and Code Collaborator experience
. Be able to use software/firmware request tracking, such as SBM and Jira
. Efficient in basic HDD and test process script architecture understanding
