Staff Technical Program Manager

Job Summary: As a Staff Technical Program Manager, you will lead media programs, influencing the teams roadmap priorities and technical direction. This role combines strong technical understanding, program leadership, and agile delivery excellence. You will own end-to-end execution of critical programs, influence roadmap direction, manage cross-team dependencies and senior stakeholders, and mentor teams to raise execution maturity across the organization.

About the Team: JioHotstar is building the advertising platform that will power commerce-led advertising across some of India's largest digital consumer businesses.

This team sits at the intersection of AdTech, e-commerce, data, and monetisation. The goal is to help retail platforms unlock high-intent advertising inventory across the full shopping journey - home pages, category pages, product detail pages, cart, order confirmation flows, and personalised placements - while giving advertisers measurable outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and collaboration
• Lead large, complex technical programs from planning through delivery independently
• Influence roadmap priorities by aligning stakeholders on objectives and outcomes
• Coordinate across engineering, product, and business teams to manage dependencies and ensure timely execution
• Facilitate cross-pod collaboration and alignment to maintain delivery momentum
• Proactively plan for and mitigate risks, evaluating alternatives, quantifying trade-offs, and structuring communication plans
• Apply Agile methodologies for iterative delivery, adaptive planning, and continuous improvement
• Coach teams on Agile best practices and foster high Scrum maturity
• Maintain sprint cadence and rigor through reviews, retrospectives, and OKR alignment
• Drive pod-level accountability for JIRA hygiene, analytics reporting, and milestone tracking
• Ensure data-driven decision-making using clear metrics, dashboards, and visual progress reporting
• Regularly communicate program updates, decisions, and risks to leadership concisely and visually
• Continuously improve internal processes to enhance team efficiency and delivery velocity
• Act as a mentor for junior TPMs and team members to scale program management maturity

Skills and attributes for success:

• Deep technical understanding of scalable systems, with the ability to dive into architecture reviews, ask second-order questions, and push for scalable, resilient solutions
• Should have deep technical understanding of AI platforms, execution rigor, stakeholder management, and the ability to drive AI initiatives from strategy to production.
• Experience with LLMs, AI infrastructure, model lifecycle management, and scalable delivery processes is highly preferred.
• Expertise in Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe) and tools like JIRA, Confluence
• Good understanding of working in Ads/consumer experience domain.
• Highly structured thinker with the ability to break down ambiguous goals into executable plans, identify blind spots, and push for clarity in both direction and detail
• Strong grasp of risk/reward tradeoffs, and comfort operating in fast-moving, high-stakes environments with shifting priorities and evolving context
• Exceptional communicator, skilled in managing stakeholder expectations and aligning diverse teams on shared timelines, goals, and impact
• Strong program management experience managing cross functional initiatives end to end and driving influence without authority
• Strong experience leading complex cross-functional programs involving AI/ML and GenAI systems at scale.

Preferred education and experience:

• A Bachelor's/Master's degree with a min of 8-12 years of experience, including 6 to 8 years in Technical Program Management role in a Product/B2C setup.
