Job Overview

The Strategic Sourcing Analyst III will lead supplier development, qualification, and commodity management activities to meet purchasing demands and cost reduction targets. This role requires a strong mechanical engineering foundation combined with supplier quality expertise, advanced analytical and reporting skills, and the ability to present findings effectively in both English and Thai.

Job Responsibilities

  • Supplier Development & Qualification
  • Identify and qualify new suppliers based on project demand and commodity strategy.
  • Conduct supplier audits and technical evaluations to ensure compliance with quality, cost, and service standards.
  • Pricing & Negotiation
  • Manage RFQs for NPI and sustaining projects; align with cross-functional teams.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms to achieve cost targets and favorable conditions.
  • Contract Management
  • Prepare and review supplier contracts to mitigate legal and commercial risks.
  • Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) Support
  • Collaborate with SQE and Quality teams to drive supplier quality improvements, resolve RMA issues, and address customer complaints.
  • Support FAIR documentation and new component qualification processes.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting
  • Perform cost analysis, market trend evaluation, and supplier performance reviews.
  • Develop and present clear, data-driven reports and dashboards to management and stakeholders.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with engineering teams on VA/VE projects and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Support NPI and MPDE activities to accelerate product launches.
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Drive KPI achievement for cost, quality, and delivery.
  • Implement dual sourcing, VMI/consignment strategies, and supplier compliance programs.

Qualifications & Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 510 years of experience in sourcing, supplier development, or Supply Chain Quality Engineer roles within manufacturing or electronics industries.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data interpretation, reporting, and presentation tools (Excel, Power BI, Power Point preferred).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Thai.
  • Proven ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Strategic thinker with proactive problem-solving capability and risk management awareness.
