Student Opt Assist

Veritas Aescula Institute | Co-Curricular Position

A part-time co-curricular position for a motivated individual who wants practical experience in education operations, event support, and content creation. This is not a salaried employment position. It carries a monthly expense allowance and reimbursed transport, alongside non-cash recognition.

• Reports to: Academic Team
• Commitment: 6–8 hours/week, flexible. Concentrated around placement days and event weeks.
• Location: Hybrid — Bangkok. On-site for placements, events, and merchandise distribution.
• Transport: Reimbursed per activity against receipts
• Term: Two semester, renewable

Placement & Event Support

• Assist VAI staff at volunteer placements and community events — you support, a staff member supervises
• Help with student check-in, attendance sheets, and on-the-day coordination
• Act as a friendly point of contact for students during activities

Merchandise Distribution

• Distribute VAI merchandise, welcome kits, and materials to students at events and on campus
• Record handovers against the distribution list
• Flag stock running low to the Academic Manager

Photo & Video Capture

• Capture photos and video at placements, events, and student milestones on your own smartphone
• Shoot vertical for TikTok and Reels, horizontal for the website
• Upload to the shared Drive folder after each activity, named to the standard format
• Confirm with staff that consent is on file before capturing any student

Student Requests

• Receive student requests for materials and pass them to the Academic Manager
• Follow up on open requests and keep the tracker current

• Monthly expense allowance and reimbursed transport
• VAI Certificate of Service, issued at the end of each semester
• Letter of recommendation from the Head of Academics and Student Affairs, on completion
• Portfolio of published photo and video work with credit
• Direct experience of how an international school and its medical pathway program operate
• Reference for future university and job applications

• No degree required. Currently enrolled students, recent school-leavers, and gap-year candidates all welcome.
