About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Supplier Quality Engineer APAC to drive supplier quality excellence across the Asia-Pacific region. This role is responsible for supplier audits, quality performance management, supplier development, and process improvement initiatives to ensure compliance with company standards and customer expectations.
The successful candidate will work closely with suppliers, purchasing teams, manufacturing plants, and regional stakeholders to improve supplier performance, support localization projects, and ensure robust quality management throughout the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct supplier process audits in accordance with VDA 6.3 and applicable quality standards.
- Assess supplier capabilities, manufacturing processes, and quality management systems.
- Lead supplier quality improvement initiatives and corrective action follow-up.
- Support supplier selection, qualification, and approval activities across APAC.
- Monitor supplier KPIs including PPM, OTD, Audit Results, and Corrective Action Effectiveness.
- Drive supplier development and risk mitigation programs.
- Support localization and new project sourcing activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Purchasing, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and IATF 16949 requirements.
- Travel within the APAC region to conduct supplier assessments and audits as required.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
- Advanced degree is an advantage.
- VDA 6.3 Process Auditor and/or ISO 19011 Auditor certification preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Supplier Quality Engineering, Supplier Development, Quality Assurance, or related fields.
- Experience conducting supplier audits and managing supplier performance.
- Strong understanding of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan, SPC, MSA, and CAPA.
- Experience working with international suppliers within manufacturing or automotive industries.

- Ability to influence suppliers and drive continuous improvement.
- Proficiency with ERP and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
Languages
- Fluent English communication skills.
- Thai language required.
- German language skills are a plus.
