Role: Supplier Quality Engineer

Period: 2 Years Extendable Contract
Location: Home base and Supplier's site (in Bangkok, Chon buri, and Rayong)
In order to follow the company's strategic deployment, strengthen the local quality control ability in various aspects such as supplier development, NPD, process control and shipment, this position is set up, so as to be able to implement the quality assurance work more quickly, closely and professionally to achieve the target.
Job Description:
- Play an important role in development of local suppliers and new products to ensure the sommoth progress of development with quality assurance.
- Inspect products on site, reject products that do not conform to specifications or drawings, urge supplier to correct when wrong materials or operations are found in process.
- Follow up SCAR implementation, fully understand related product requirements, through site inspection help and supervise supplier to continuously improve quality.
- Act as a bridge between the internal teams and suppliers, and effectively promote the smooth progress of all matters
Responsibility:
- Lead or participate in new product development, including FAI and PPAP approval.
- Develop new suppliers; Conduct QMS or process audit for new and existing suppliers according to procedure.
- Carry out on-site inspection according to the product inspection arrangement, ensure that the inspected products meet product specifications, make complete records, and report to the BU timely;
- Analyze products with quality problems, and cooperate with colleagues and suppliers to solve problems; Follow up quality improvement measures.
- Train the QCs and engineers of suppliers on company product inspection requirement to make sure suppliers are qualified to do onsite inspection to our products independently and correctly.
- Participate in inspection specification drafting and revising.
- Cooperate with various teams to drive supplier continuous improvement, including determining appropriate project scope and setting project indicators.
Requirement:
- Fluent in local language, and ability of English listening, speaking, reading and writing. Chinese is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics;
- Minimum 4 years working experience;
- Enthusiasm and team work spirit;
- Read engineering drawings correctly.
- Working knowledge and experience of measuring equipments.
- Knowledge of supplier quality process.
- Domestic travel is a must (have own car and driving licencse), oversea travel may be requested if necessary.
Key Competency:
- Better understands the production processes of related products;
- Have knowledge of quality control system: ISO 9000:2015;
- Can read USA engineering drawings;
- Ability to use main quality methods (e.g. 7 Quality Tools) to analyze and solve quality problems.
- Able to adapt quickly and work effectively in unknown environment, with an individuals or group of internal or external customers and vendors;
- Self-motivate;
- Able to travel frequent and quick to learn.
- Must possess good oral and written communication skills. Must be effective in obtaining cooperation of all levels of personnel.
