We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Engineer to own end-to-end Product Data Hub (PDH) Item and Bill of Materials (BOM) data governance, supporting Hard Disk Drive (HDD) manufacturing operations, subcontractor sites, and downstream planning systems. This role ensures data accuracy, consistency, and readiness across Agile PLM, PDH, and connected planning tools.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of data governance discipline, supply chain operations knowledge, and analytical problem-solving capability. This role is central to daily production operations †enabling planning execution, supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) programs, managing BOM extensions, and driving continuous improvements to data quality and processes. The position works closely with Buyers, NPI, IT, Engineering, Finance, and Planning teams.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

PDH Item & Attribute Maintenance

  • Work with Buyers to collect and maintain accurate attribute values in PDH.
  • Review and update PDH custom tables, including:
    • Agile HDD+ Part Category Mapping
    • Manufacturer Subcontractor Organizations
    • Planning attribute defaults
  • Perform Supply Chain data maintenance, including:
    • PDH BOM and Item Attribute Override
    • Material Group filters and conversions
    • Alternate BOM control

BOM Management & Data Governance

  • Perform manual extension of BOMs to subcontractor and common organizations.
  • Govern BOM data quality by reviewing BOM reports, identifying mismatches, and coordinating resolution with cross-functional teams.
  • Perform daily checks of BOMs at subcontractor sites in Agile PLM.

Planning & Production Support (CP / CMRP)

  • Act as a data subject matter expert for planning issues.
  • Analyze and resolve Item and BOM-related planning issues raised by Buyers and Planning teams.
  • Coordinate with NPI teams to:
    • Update qualification and Plan of Record (POR) part links
    • Support BOM requirements
    • Validate BOM clean-up activities

Project & Continuous Improvement

  • Support the lead in driving the following initiatives:
    • New BOM structure design (Simplification initiatives)
    • Native attribute creation for new programs
    • Item and BOM readiness
    • End-to-end PDH Item & BOM enhancement projects
  • Support process automation and improvements, including:
    • Automation of purchasing attributes
    • Automation of BOM extension to subcontractor sites

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in operations, supply chain, master / product data, planning support, or related roles exposure to BOMs and item/master data preferred.
  • Experience in high-tech, HDD, or semiconductor industries with a focus on supply chain operations is a plus

SKILLS:

Technical & Functional Skills

  • Experience supporting supply chain or product data planning systems (e.g., Agile PLM, PDH, APS, MRP, or equivalent).
  • Ability to analyze and resolve data-driven production and planning issues.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), Structured Query Language (SQL), and/or Python.
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Manufacturing Execution System (MES) integrations.

Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills

  • Strong data validation and root-cause analysis capabilities.
  • High attention to detail with a governance mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple issues simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Collaboration & Communication Skills

  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with Buyers, Engineering, NPI, IT, Finance, and Planning teams.
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex data issues to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong follow-up discipline and ownership mindset.
