What you'll do:
The Supply Planner for AP will play an instrumental role in ensuring the efficient flow of products throughout AP markets. This position requires a strategic mind focused on optimizing supply and distribution networks, ensuring timely product availability, and enhancing cost and service efficiencies across the supply chain.
In detail, you will:
Supply Planning & Optimization
- Ensure the creation, alignment, and execution of supply plans that bolster supply efficiency and guarantee product availability to meet the demand requirement.
- Ensure Master Data quality for accurate supply planning in SAP IBP.
- Deep dive into various sources of data, including demand planning, supply planning, and inventory to understand variances and detect possible gaps.
- Place orders towards factories and perform the follow-up until goods delivery.
- Analyze discrepancies in supply plans, drive discussions, and seek solutions to mitigate impacts.
- Anticipate capacity constraints and develop contingency plans to mitigate risks and ensure uninterrupted supply.
Inventory Management:
- Monitor and optimize inventory levels at regional distribution centers and hubs to ensure efficient inventory turnover and reduced holding costs.
- Collaborate with factories and teams in the markets to balance stock levels with demand, ensuring minimal excess and obsolete inventory.
- Drive initiatives focused on continuous improvement to streamline inventory, reduce costs, and enhance service levels.
Distribution Strategy
- Design and refine distribution routes for timely and cost-effective deliveries.
- Coordinate with transportation and warehousing teams to maximize distribution efficiency.
Exception-Based Planning:
- In situations with supply hiccups, devise specialized plans to maintain product flow, liaising with all associated factories.
Factory Collaboration:
- Work closely with internal factories and Cross-BA teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and finished goods.
- Regularly follow-up with factories, ironing out any supply chain wrinkles that may arise.
- Collaborate with the team to implement supply and production plans according to the Business S&OP process.
Reporting & Collaboration:
- Track and report on key supply chain metrics such as service levels, backorders, inventory turns, and supplier performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between supply planning, demand planning, and production planning processes.
- Engage in the creation of in-depth analyses concerning Purchase Forecast Accuracy and MUR & MUC for factories.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders concerning supply and distribution matters.
- Collaborate with other departments including Purchasing, Logistics, Quality Control, and Production to ensure smooth product transitions.
- Regularly communicate supply and distribution performance, risks, and mitigation strategies
Systems & Tools:
- Utilize supply planning and optimization tools as SAP IBP to create, manage, and optimize supply plans for product availability.
- Stay updated with the latest supply chain technologies and tools that can be leveraged for enhanced planning capabilities.
Transition & Evolution:
- As the company gravitates towards centralized planning, play an integral role in the holistic planning process for all sales facets.
- Regularly request and provide feedback from team members and stakeholders to identify areas for improvement
Qualifications:
- University Degree in Supply Chain or Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain planning or related role ideally in a sales/manufacturing organization. Experience from home appliances industry is a strong plus.
- Professional certification i.e., ASCM (formerly known as APICS) CPIM or CSCP will be an added plus
- Working knowledge of Finance, Product Line, and sales.
- Excellent supply planning and financial planning skills are required which could be leveraged for planning system design.
- Great personal organization skills, attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines in the multicultural environment.
- Able to articulate complex concepts clearly (both written and in presentations)
- Able to work in a fast pace, results-oriented environment under minimal supervision.
- Curious and has the analytical skills needed to independently investigate issues, develop solutions, and articulate the associated business case.
- Ability to perform as part of a management team.
- Excel advanced user. Experience working with advanced supply chain planning tools (SAP-IBP, SAP-APO) and Power BI.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of the Office (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint & MS Projects)
- Fluency in English
