Global Sustainability Manager

Location: Bangkok, Thailand (GHQ) | Alternative: Singapore

Axentia Global has been retained to identify a high-caliber Sustainability leader for a global healthcare manufacturing organization with multi-division operations across Vision Care, Surgical Optics, and Contact Lens platforms.

This is not a policy-writing role.

This is an execution and data-driven transformation mandate.

The organization is accelerating its environmental agenda across manufacturing sites globally. The incoming leader will strengthen environmental performance, reporting integrity, renewable energy transition, and cross-functional execution aligned with international frameworks such as RE100, Net Zero pathways, CDP, and CSRD.

The Mandate

The Global Sustainability Manager will support execution across four core pillars:

  1. Energy & Operational Efficiency
  2. Climate & Carbon Impact
  3. Water Stewardship
  4. Renewable Energy Transition

You will operate at the intersection of Operations, Procurement, Finance, and Corporate ESG ensuring environmental data integrity (OTIFNE: On Time, In Full, No Errors), enabling renewable energy feasibility studies, supporting site-level energy efficiency roadmaps, and strengthening compliance readiness across divisions.

This role sits close to manufacturing reality not just reporting theory.

Key Deliverables

Environmental Data & Governance

  • Validate and consolidate environmental performance data across global sites
  • Ensure dashboard accuracy and reporting quality
  • Strengthen site-level input systems for disclosures and audits
  • Coordinate HQ-led surveys (CDP, CSRD, RE100, Net Zero)

Energy & Carbon

  • Support energy audits and baseline validation
  • Assist in ROI/payback methodology frameworks
  • Track energy efficiency milestones and carbon reduction targets
  • Contribute to improvements across minimum 3+ sites

Renewable Energy Transition

  • Conduct market studies and vendor feasibility validation
  • Support PPA, EAC, onsite solar evaluations
  • Assist in RE contract frameworks and renewable mix forecasting

Water Stewardship

  • Establish baseline water consumption data
  • Support cost-benefit interventions
  • Contribute to divisional water roadmap and target-setting

Cross-Functional Execution

  • Coordinate across Operations, SCM, Procurement, Finance and ESG HQ
  • Facilitate workshops and monthly/quarterly sustainability reviews
  • Monitor regulatory trends and contribute to ESG radar updates
  • Engage external consultants and support alignment workshops

Success Metrics

  • OTIFNE environmental reporting across sites
  • Tangible progress on Renewable Energy & Energy Efficiency roadmap
  • Strengthened compliance with global sustainability standards
  • Effective cross-division coordination (Vision Care, Surgical Optics, Contact Lens)

Ideal Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability or related discipline
  • 5+ years in sustainability, energy management, or environmental data roles within manufacturing or operations-heavy environments
  • Strong Excel and dashboard proficiency
  • Familiarity with RE100, CDP, Net Zero frameworks, Scope 13 accounting
  • Experience supporting renewable energy feasibility and site-level implementation
